Have you ever imagined that diving in flooded cave systems was possible? With proper training, experience, and safety protocols, this is the most breathtaking journey you could ever have as a diver. Explore the largest underground river in the world, the Sac Actun cave system.
The longest underwater cave is right on our doorstep in the municipality of Tulum in Quintana Roo. Extending for farther than 368 km, much of the cave system has a shallow profile, making it a perfect opportunity for long cave dives.
Explore the maze of passages to discover artifacts and Pleistocene period fossils, tunnels sliced in two by a halocline, challenging passages, and chambers stained green from tannic acid. Hundreds of caves are available to cave divers, and with a multitude of navigational options for each cave, a diver could spend a lifetime in Mexico with always more to explore.
We aspire to show you as much as we can, depending on your interests and the time that you have available.
Prerequisites:
Minimum 18 years old
Full Cave Diver Certification or equivalent
Certified as Intro to Cave Diver ? Continue your education towards the Full Cave Diver program or book guided intro to cave dives
If you have not been diving in mexican caves, an introductory / check-up dive is essential prior to your dives
Why hire a guide?
Mexican caves are exceptionally complex. A guide greatly enriches the experience: mainlines are usually hidden away in the cavern area, the most interesting passages are often only found multiple jumps from the mainline, and expert local knowledge is required to reach some breathtakingly decorated and pristine areas.
Optimize your time in Mexico’s caves: navigation personalized to your interests, be guided to isolated cenotes, and no need to worry about organising access with landowners at private cave entrances.
Transportation and local pick-up/drop-off service are included, therefore our services can eliminate your need to rent a car completely.
