Description
Having scuba tanks on your back is not a requirement for exploring the underwater world. Many scuba divers have discovered the joy of mounting cylinders on their sides. Side mount diving gives you flexibility and streamlining options. Plus, you do not have to walk with heavy cylinders on your back – just enter the water, clip them on and go. Sound interesting? Sign up for the Side Mount Diver Specialty course. You will want to use your own mask, fins, and exposure suit. Dive Inc will explain the equipment you will need, such as the harness configured for side mount diving along with cylinders, each with a regulator and SPGs. Prerequisites: - Minimum 15 years old - Open Water Diver Certification or equivalent - Fill in and sign our responsive sheet Schedule: - 3 training days adapted as desired - Meeting in Playa city center Included: - Experienced certified Instructor - Knowledge Review session - Side Mount Workshop - 2 open water dives in Playa del Carmen reefs - 2 cenote cavern dives - Cenote Entrance fees - Transportation to the cenote - Free nitrox (if certified) - Snack and water between the dives - Weights - 12-liter aluminum nitrox tank - Complete gear (wetsuit, mask, BCD, fins & regulator) Not included: - Photographer Highlights: - Properly assemble and configure side mount scuba diving equipment - Trim your weight system and side mount gear so you are perfectly balanced in the water - Manage gas by switching second stages as planned, if wearing two cylinders - Respond correctly to potential problems when side mount diving - Get credit!
